Not only is he a nation-builder, always ready to support his peers, but he also actively participates in community events. Recently, he took part in the Police Walkathon, securing 42nd place and even meeting the Commissioner of Police!

Marrisa Roberts achieved an impressive first place in the 13th Annual National Grand Bahama Youth Speech Competition, which was centered around the theme “Homecoming: Let’s Make More Memories.” We at BJC Passing Score are immensely proud of Marrisa's accomplishment, as she is the first female speaker to represent our organization in the senior category. This achievement not only highlights her talent but also continues our tradition of excellence in this competition.

Meet Lia Loriston — a passionate, purpose-filled powerhouse from Sherlin C. Bootle Secondary School who’s using her many talents to inspire change and elevate those around her. With a GPA of 3.77 and 6 university acceptances, Lia is already paving the way toward a bright and impactful future.
Lia is a proud former student of BJC Passing Score and now brings her creativity full circle as the Head of the Graphic Design Department—proof that growth and greatness go hand in hand.
She’s actively involved in the Student Christian Movement, Speech & Debate Club, Girls Code, Youth Empowerment Program (YEP), RBDF Rangers, Key Club, All Abaco Community Band, Track & Field (800m & 1500m), and the SCBHS Praise Team—balancing excellence in academics, leadership, the arts, and athletics with grace and grit.

BJC Passing Score has done it again! Our founder, Jayden Newbold, declared that
Youth Excellence Is The Standard! In the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture 12th Annual Grand Bahama Speech Competition.
Jayden Newbold placed first in the senior division of the competition.

Kristin Thompson declared that youth excellence is the standard in the Future Forward Speech competition held in New Providence, which was hosted by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture.
Thompson placed first in the 14–17 age category, and he represented BJC Passing Score.
Thompson also made BJC Passing Score history, as this was the first time BJC Passing Score was represented in a speech competition in New Providence.
The prestigious youth organization award was bestowed upon BJC Passing Score on October 15th, 2022. Recognized for its unwavering dedication to education and service, this remarkable achievement was celebrated at the grand ceremony of the Grand Bahama Youth Awards.
We extend congratulations to our student Carlia Saunders, as she declared that Youth Excellence Is The Standard.
Carlia Saunders represented BJC Passing Score in the junior category and placed third in the 12th Annual Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture Speech Competition (Grand Bahama).

I am Nalon Bartlett, currently serving as the President of BJC Passing Score. Hailing from Grand Bahama, I had the privilege of being a student at BJC Passing Score from September 2022 to April 2023. In August 2023, I was honored to be promoted from an instructor to the esteemed position of President. One aspect that I truly appreciate about BJC Passing Score is its online platform, which enables students from any corner of the world to participate, irrespective of their geographical location. This inclusive approach ensures that all students have equal opportunities to join and benefit from the program
Roosean Major, a determined and ambitious fifteen-year-old student at Mary, Star of The Sea Catholic Academy, has set his sights on following in his father's footsteps and becoming an aviation pilot. Inspired by his father, Roosevelt Major, who himself is an accomplished pilot, Roosean is driven by a deep passion for aviation. However, it is important to note that Roosean's aspirations go beyond just flying planes. He is also a dedicated and compassionate individual who served as a social studies, geography, and health science instructor during the 2023-2024 BJC Passing Score Academic year.
Roosean's commitment to education is truly commendable. He goes above and beyond to ensure that every child in his classroom understands the lessons and can apply their skills not only in the national exams but also in their day-to-day lives. His dedication to his students is evident in his willingness to go the extra mile, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to excel academically. Roosean's teaching style is engaging and inclusive, fostering an environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn.
In addition to his academic achievements, Roosean is a well-rounded individual. He has consistently maintained his position on the honor roll, showcasing his exceptional abilities in various subjects such as Religion, English, Math, Social Studies, Health Science, Spanish, and Art.
